about
hithere
i'm issam, a software engineer at mozilla. i work on firefox — somewhere in the part of the browser that turns JavaScript calls into actual things happening.
outside of that, i like building small, weird, useful things and writing about how the web works under the hood. this site is a sketchbook for both of those.
if a topic on here seems oddly specific — browser internals, a javascript apology, why a button submitted your form — that's the day job leaking through.

what this site is
mostly short posts about web platform tidbits, a few longer essays when something deserves the room, and a cycling doodle on the home page that's either a cat or a taco depending on the second you load it.
everything is hand-built. there's no analytics, no popup, no newsletter modal. if you find something useful or wrong, tell me.
